  • MOS 09L – Interpreters/Translators are individuals responsible for interpreting and translating foreign languages to English and vice versa.

**Only an MOS that is assigned to a soldier after they have completed Special Forces selection (SFAS), have been selected to be a member of the Special Forces and then assigned an 18 series MOS where they will then need to complete the applicable Qualification course and language school. Soldiers might be an 18X while in training and then later assigned a specific 18 series MOS.**
