Below is the chart that will show you your max weight and minimum weight that you can be in the US Army. On the left shows the height in inches and then to the right is the minimum weight and max weight for that height with the age group at the top. If a soldier is over the max weight then that soldier will need to be checked for their body fat percentage. If their body fat percentage is in an acceptable range then they are fine but if not they will need to reduce their weight or body fat.



MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE BODY FAT PERCENTAGE:

AGE GROUP: 17-20
MALE: 22%
FEMALE: 30%

AGE GROUP: 21-27
MALE: 22%
FEMALE: 32%

AGE GROUP: 28-39
MALE: 24%
FEMALE: 34%

AGE GROUP: 40 & older
MALE: 26%
FEMALE: 36%
