You might remember the Kellogg’s frosted flakes commercials from back in the day. The commercials featured mascot Tony the Tiger helping kids get through tough situations with the help of the vitamins in Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes. You still see Tony on the cereal box and even in the commercials but his speaking roles are usually just the “They’re Grrrreat!” catch phrase.

Tony is now making a comeback…… well sort of. Tony seems to be helping the kids he once helped back in the day with there current struggles. The kids are all grown up now and have some dark problems that the Tiger is helping with. Now this version is not really from Kellogg’s actually and the company has even said they have nothing to do with this parody of Tony the Tiger. Some new sources have linked this satire of this new and twisted Tony to a man named Jani Leinonen who is a food activist from Finland.  If it is the work of Jani Leinonen, its not the first time he has found himself in hot water over a food related video. Leinonen received some backlash for a video against McDonald’s that appeared to portray a terrorist like group kidnapping a statue of Ronald McDonald and then beheading it.

These parody videos are getting some mixed opinions as to if its funny or just messed up. They do make fun of thinks like prostitution, police violence and terrorist acts. But are the videos funny or are they going a little over the line? Kellogg’s  has gotten there twitter page taken down but they still have a web site and a YouTube channel. Although it remains to be seen for how much longer they will remain up. I’ve added the four videos they currently have up below. Check them out and then let me know what you think, funny or not funny.
