Youtuber and photographer Lee Morris shot a video about 5 years ago showing how he could do a photo shoot with an iPhone 3G and still make the photos look professional. If you would like to iphone phot shootsee that video you can click HERE. The point was to show that even with a simple camera that you might be carrying around in your pocket everyday, you can get great photos with the use of good lighting and some tricks. He got some criticism about the video because he was still using expensive pro lighting. Well he is back at it and this time with the iPhone 6s. This time he is not using pro lighting though. Very interesting to see how great the photos look coming from a cell phone and touching it up with Photoshop. I took some good pics in my backyard the other week and got some good results. You can see those photos HERE. Now using some of his tricks to improve lighting I can possibly get even better photos out of my iPhone. These tricks can easily be used with other smart phones that have good cameras as well or even a cheap point and shoot that you may have around the house. Some people may criticize the photos still and say “well Photoshop is not cheap”. There are just some things you cant get around if you really want to be a photographer though. You might be able to get away with using cheaper photo editing software if you are just starting out, but eventually you will need to step it up if you want pro quality. Check out the video below to see how he did it with an iPhone 6s.

Lee also has some cool videos displaying the video capability of the iPhone 6s compared to his expensive camera gear that is worth a watch as well. Its really interesting to see how your smart phone might compare to an expensive camera. Links below.
